Areas of Support
Integrative Counselling
I work integratively, drawing on different therapeutic approaches to tailor counselling to the individual. Rather than following one fixed model, I consider your experiences, circumstances and what you bneed from the therapeutic relationship.
A Person-Centred Foundation
At the heart of my work is the belief that you are the expert in your own life. I offer a respectful, non-judgmental space where you can explore what is happening to you, at a pace that feels manageable.
Counselling That Is Individual to YOU
No two people experience life in exactly the same way.
I do not believe counselling should be one-size-fits-all. Our work is shaped around you, your experiences, beliefs and what you want to understand or work through.
My Approach
Counselling can offer the space to step back from what is happening and look at things from a different perspective.
Sometimes that means exploring experiences that have been difficult to understand or put into words; sometimes it means recognising patterns, challenging unhelpful thinking or considering different ways of responding.
Our work may involve reflection and exploration, but it can also be more focused and practical when that is helpful. I may gently challenge, ask questions you have not considered, introduce different ways of looking at something or help you develop strategies to manage what you are experiencing.
The aim is not simply to talk about what is happening, but to devlop greater understanding and, where possible create meaningful change.
